Race Horse Company’s Mentoring Program

Race Horse Company is offering artistic and productional mentoring for artists. The Mentoring program’s aim is to share knowledge and the groups experience to artists who would find mentoring helpful in order to develop themselves as performers and in the process of professional growth.
We offer support in the artistic work, development of new ideas and circus techniques, direction of acts or shows under creation and knowledge of the field and how to employ yourself within it. We also offer an opportunity to use our training space if needed. The program starts in May-June 2020 and the more accurate schedule will be planned separately with each participant according to their individual needs. The mentors are RHC’s Rauli Dahlberg, Kalle Lehto and Mikko Karhu. The program is free of charge for the participants and is held mainly in Helsinki area. Mentoring will happen either in English or Finnish.What we offer?

Who can apply?

  • Any artist or student of performing arts, who is motivated to develop themselves as a performer and grow professionally in the field of circus

  • You can apply as a work group or as an individual

How to apply?
Send us an application where you answer to the following questions:

  • Who are you and why are you applying to the program?

  • What are your goals regarding the mentoring program?

  • What is your level of commitment towards your goals / to the program?

  • How do you train / develop yourself at the moment?

  • Tell about your artistic visions: what kind of circus you practice / wish to practice?

  • Attach to your application a CV and if possible some video links of your previous artistic works.

RHC’s artistic crew will make the decisions of the selected persons/groups on the basis of the incoming applications. We may ask you some additional questions via email. We’ll inform about the results by the end of May.
